Emma Waldron lines up LA screen test with 'big talk show host'
She left behind a stable teaching career to follow her modelling dreams in New York and now Emma Waldron has her sights set on cracking the LA TV industry.
Not content with impressing model bosses in the Big Apple, the 26-year-old has revealed that she will be flown to glitzy Los Angeles next week so she can audition to work alongside a "really big late night talk show host".
The Kildare beauty left her career as a primary school teacher last year to make the risky move to the States.
Following a string of modelling shoots and working hard to get her teeth into acting roles, Emma hopes she is on the brink of landing her first big US presenting gig.
"I'm heading to LA next week to do a screen test as co-presenter alongside a really big late night TV show host," she told the Herald.
"I can't say any names just yet, but it's someone really well known who is coming out of retirement so they are flying me down. It's a really big audition for me."
Emma said working as a TV presenter is her dream and she has already been courted by US TV giants such as Fox. "I've been working away and I'm doing shoots and castings all the time but becoming a TV presenter is my ultimate goal," she explained.
Emma is loving Big Apple life. "I moved into my own apartment in New York last month, it's a one-bedroom," she said. "I worked hard to get here so I'm delighted with that."
