Do you look like a Neanderthal? Call for extras for 'Ireland's next Game of Thrones or Vikings' TV show

A new US TV show is inviting Irish extras to apply to appear in the pilot.

An open casting will be held in Dublin on Friday for the "major new TV series, set in prehistoric times".

The production needs people who closely fit the "Neanderthal, Viking, African or Mediterranean" look for roles which will be fully paid.

If you have one of these specific looks, you can also apply by email as they may not get to see everyone in person on the day. 

If you are registered with you will automatically be considered so there's no need to attend the casting.

Producers say it has the potential to become Ireland's next Game of Thrones or Vikings, both of which are filmed in Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Casting is open all day from 11am to 5pm at Filmbase, Curved Street, Temple Bar on Friday April 15.

Males and females aged over 16 only can audition. Filming will take place in Dublin and Wicklow.
