Disney Junior has commissioned a second season of Vampirina, which is produced by Dublin based animation studio Brown Bag Films.

The first series, which boasts voice talent including James Van Der Beek, Lauren Graham and Isabella Crovetti, ranked number one with audiences aged 4+ in its first six weeks on Disney Junior UK from October last year.

The cute cartoon about a little vampire girl getting used to life in a new human world now airs in 115 countries ad 15 languages worldwide and has more than 49 million viewers.

Brown Bag Films, based in Smithfield, has already enjoyed huge success with Doc McStuffins and are the company behind Henry Hugglemonster and Octonauts.

The studio has earned fourteen Emmy Awards and two Oscar nominations.

The announcement of the second series of Vampirina coincides with the launch of Vampirina merchandise at the London Toy Fair.
