Denise Van Outen to join Eastenders line-up for 30th anniversary
Denise Van Outen has landed a role in BBC's Eastenders as part of the soap's 30th anniversary celebrations.
The 40-year-old star will apparently 'send sparks flying' when she gets romantically involved with one of the male stars on the Square.
Producers have not revealed which character will succumb to her charms.
Van Outen said, "I'm really excited to be joining EastEnders as I've been a fan of the series for years."
The show's Executive Producer, Dominic Treadwell-Collins, added: "It was only a matter of time before Denise Van Outen walked onto the Square. She will definitely make her presence felt."
Van Outen, who started out life as a presenter, has previous acting experience in Where the Heart Is and Babes in the Wood as well as a successful West End and Broadway run in Chicago.
Meanwhile Eastenders has launched its 'Who Killed Lucy Beale' golden ticket competition.
Fans who correctly guess the identity of Lucy's killer and submit their guess HERE by February 13 are in with a chance to win a pair of tickets for a visit to the set where they will be given a tour by one of the cast members.
