One-third of Irish country group Crystal Swing is set to walk down the aisle this weekend.
The Cork singer will say 'I Do' to her long-term boyfriend Tim O'Connor this Saturday in Lisgoold.
The 23-year-old told Evoke.ie that the big day will be filmed for a potential television show.
"All I can say is that the wedding is being filmed. Watch out on your TV screens…that’s all I am allowed to say," she teased.
The name of the television show is not the only secret she is keeping, as she revealed that the day will have a special theme.
"I love the theme – it’s going to be so different, no-one will have anything like it," she said.
Of course, her mother Mary approves of her future husband, too.
"Tim is lovely, and his family are lovely, and it will be a very happy day for all," the matriarch told the website.
"I can’t believe my child is getting married but she is going to be an absolutely stunning bride."
Dervla and Tim became engaged in November, when he popped the question in Ashford Castle, Co Mayo, on their third anniversary.
Despite her young age, Dervla maintains that she can't wait to get married as she's a "real old woman at heart."
“When I moved out of home my dad shed some tears and it was the first time I’ve ever seen him cry in my life,” she told the Evening Echo.
“I’m hoping he doesn’t cry on Saturday because that will set me off too.”
I recently had an argument about which was the greatest decade for popular culture, and plumped for the 1990s. The Simpsons, Twin Peaks, Northern Exposure, grunge, electronica, Goodfellas, Se7en, Point Break, Beavis and Butthead…that decade had it all, man.
ONE of Ireland's most loved family of musicians and singers, Crystal Swing, will make their highly anticipated return to The Earl of Desmond Hotel on August 17 for a charity gig in aid of the Kerry Cancer Support Group (KCSG).
