Corrie viewers horrified as Anna Windass found guilty after dramatic trial
Actress Debbie Rush is leaving the soap after playing Anna for almost a decade.
Coronation Street viewers were horrified as Anna Windass was found guilty of pushing Seb Franklin off a ladder.
Anna (Debbie Rush) was on trial after evil Phelan (Connor McIntyre) framed her for injuring Seb (Harry Visinoni).
The trial reached its dramatic climax on Monday night, with a devastated Anna being convicted of the crime.
She broke down and pointed the finger at Phelan as the verdict was delivered, but he sat calmly in the gallery.
“My heart is breaking for Anna so much,” said one upset fan on Twitter.

“NAH I ain’t having this Anna DESERVES BETTER,” said one disgruntled viewer, adding the hashtag “#FreeAnna”.
One person raged: “This is just ridiculous! Poor Anna! Phelan needs to be sent down, how many more is he going to kill.”

Many praised Rush’s acting in the gripping scenes.
“#Corrie @debbie_rush deserves to win many awards for her portrayal of Anna,” said one, while another said she was “brilliant”.
The verdict was not a surprise to many fans of the ITV soap as it is known that actress Rush is leaving the soap.
She announced last July that she would be saying goodbye to Weatherfield this year, after playing Anna for almost a decade.
