Simon Cowell goes all soft for a cute dog in tonight's Britain's Got Talent.

The TV judge, once dubbed Mr Nasty, blows kisses at seven-year-old Border Collie Matisse to get his attention when he walks onto the stage.

Cowell then has the audience in stitches as he talks baby talk to the dog, asking: "Who's a good boy?"

Owner Jules O'Dwyer, 49, reveals her ambition is for Matisse to be the star of his own children's TV show, before impressing with their dog catcher routine.

The judges are also treated to performances from The Kaneh Masons - six brothers and sisters from Nottingham who perform a classical music piece on piano, cello and violin - and five piece tap dancing group Beat Brothers, who try to win David Walliams' vote by flashing some flesh.

The latest episode of the ITV talent show will also see judges Cowell, Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden whittle down their favourite acts so far as they choose which 45 will go through to the live semi-finals.
