The Celebrity Big Brother eviction will go ahead on Friday, despite Brandon Block becoming the second resident to quit the show on Wednesday.

The DJ's departure came just hours after U.S. singer Ray J left the house to seek treatment for dental issues. Explaining his reasons for quitting the Channel 5 programme, Brandon told his fellow housemates: "I've not been happy for a few days. I love you all. I really mean that. I'm just not myself. It's a great experience but I'm just not feeling (like) me. I don't want to sit out there all day and just smoke.

"Crack on everyone, and kick its a*s!"

His decision came after several days of health problems, which even reportedly included being briefly hospitalised last weekend after suffering from chest pains.

A statement from the DJ read: "I'm incredibly honoured to have the experience, it was wonderful, but I wasn't feeling myself. May the best man or woman win."

Brandon's departure was tough to accept for many of the housemates though, with Strictly Come Dancing professional James Jordan breaking down when the news was announced.

Despite Brandon's decision to leave coming just hours after Ray J's exit, the planned eviction will still be going ahead on Friday. James Cosmo, Stacy Francis, Austin Armacost, Speidi and Angie Best are all facing the public vote, with Ray J also among those nominated for eviction this week.

However, following his departure, Celebrity Big Brother bosses have offered a refund to anyone who voted to save him.

Brandon's exit appears to be significantly more friendly than Ray J's. The American singer alleged he wasn't allowed back into the house after leaving to seek treatment for tooth problems, and even threatened legal action if his departure meant he wouldn't be paid his $1 million fee.

"I never like to (sue) because I'm a producer and I like to be on the same page as everybody, but this is just not fair," he told TMZ.

"This is just not fair and if I have to take those precautions, I will. I don't care about my tooth. Put me back into the house and let me work. This isn't right!"
