It looks like the upcoming series of The Voice might the most explosive yet, at least where the coaches are concerned.

New judges Boy George (replacing Tom Jones) and Paloma Faith (replacing Rita Ora) have reportedly had a major row on set in front of the studio audience.

Presenter Marvin Humes revealed the details to Alan Carr on the Christmas episode of Chatty Man.

He said that "there were tears" although he did not say which coach cried, and added that "it was an explosive day".

He also revealed that the row kicked off when Boy George's pitch for one contestant went on for a long time and Paloma began to pretend to snore.

Marvin said the row lasted for about half an hour and Boy George reportedly accused Paloma of being "bitchy" and said she probably had "PMT".

The Irish singer also reportedly said he had had more number one hits in America than Paloma.

Marvin added that he thinks "people are going to be very shocked".
