Amy Huberman's husband Brian O'Driscoll will make a split-second appearance in her new comedy-drama 'Finding Joy'.

Huberman wrote and stars in the new RTÉ series, and joining Nicky Byrne and Jenny Greene on their 2FM show yesterday the actress revealed her rugby legend husband Brian was set to appear on the show in a cameo role.

She told on-air how the couple had been hoping that viewers at home would be second guessing themselves, wondering if they had in fact seen the Leinster and Ireland star on their screens.

"It is a really small little thing - and we were actually hoping people would be like, 'is that, is that? What?'" said Huberman.

However, she said her husband wasn't trying to steal her thunder and only wanted to appear on-screen very briefly.

"He was really happy to come in and do something.

"It's only little, like a 'blink and you miss it', which is what he wanted."

It's not the first time the couple have shared the screen though.

Fans of 'The Clinic', in which Huberman played the role of receptionist Daisy O'Callaghan, will remember O'Driscoll making another cameo in a 2009 episode of the successful RTÉ drama.

'Finding Joy' airs tomorrow on RTÉ One at 9.35pm.
