Ireland's Got Talent kicks of in two weeks time and the first promo has earned a thumbs up from Hollywood director Edgar Wright.

The show's trailer is inspired by Wright's latest flick, Baby Driver, which stars Ansel Elgort as a getaway driver for a group of crims including Jon Hamm and Kevin Spacey.

The Ireland's Got Talent promo stars judge Louis Walsh in the Jon Hamm role with support from presenter Lucy Kennedy (as the driver), and fellow judges Denise Van Outen, Jason Byrne, and Michelle Visage.

The promo was shared on Twitter by Wright with the caption, "Never thought I'd see Louis Walsh doing Jon Hamm".

Neither did we, Edgar, neither did we.

Ireland's Got Talent airs on TV3 on February 3.
