Gráinne Seoige has taken to Twitter to dispel the rumours that she is quitting RTÉ to become a diamond dealer.

The Galway native tweeted this afternoon that the story is “Not true I still have a contract with you guys”.

RTÉ, Seoige’s employer, had posted the story on their website today but looks like she has no plans to leave the glamorous world of TV just yet.

The former newsreader officially launched 'Grace Diamonds' to a world market at New York International Bridal Week.

"My motivation with Grace Diamonds was to bring affordable luxury combined with the best quality to Irish women," she said in an interview with the Irish Independent.

Gráinne set up the custom diamond jewellery business in South Africa with her fiancé, former rugby coach, Leon Jordaan.

In her first ever design collaboration, the TV star yesterday showcased her 'Sea Queen' range of earrings, rings and pendant.

But looks like she’ll still be continuing with her TV career following her tweet.

Seoige later thanked RTE for correcting the original report. "Thank you for correcting!," she tweeted.
