If there were ever an entertainer that was perfectly made for the Late Late Show audience, Robbie Williams is it.

Ignoring Ryan Tubridy until he first serenaded his adoring crowd with a version of 'You're Such a Good Looking Woman', the hearts of guys and girls alike were all a-flutter.

The news that the former Take That star will be playing at the Aviva Stadium next June had already broken this afternoon - yet the audience loyally cheered in unison when Williams 'revealed' the June 17 date.

'Party Like A Russian' was the father-of-two's outro ballad, after he disappointed a few fans by revealing that 'Millennium' is his least favourite song to perform. ('Angels' is the one he's most fond of wowing the crowds with, in case you missed the earlier flood of reports after today's conference)

But it was/is Williams' personality that endears him to the masses - a cheeky chappie with unwavering confidence, enough to completely ruffle the usual static feathers of the Late Late crowd.

And fans that watched the 42-year-old make Graham Norton cry with tears recently with his hilarious yet unsettling tales were not left wanting.

The enraptured RTE crowd listened to Williams' story which began describing his anger over his mum's previous gig experience - and ended abruptly when he realised that the 'VIP section' was not actually the VIP section. Viewers can fill in the story blanks.

Oh and he also confirmed that Joe Dolan's tune will be on his playlist next summer. Watch this space.
