Jack Bauer has proved himself more ruthless than ever in this action-packed series, and after the attack on Wembley Stadium he, Kate and Boudreau are still on the hunt for Navarro, while Audrey tries to prevent a war. Kiefer Sutherland (right) and Benjamin Bratt star.

Live FIFA World Cup 2014

RTE Two, 8pm

The second World Cup semi final gets underway at the Arena de Sao Paulo in Sao Paulo, with commentary from Ray Houghton (right) and George Hamilton. Brazil and Argentina are favourites to go all the way in South America.

The Man Who Saved the World

RTE One, 11.20pm

Documentary telling the little known story of former Soviet officer Stanislav Petrov. In 1983 the Russian early warning system incorrectly reported that a US missle had been fired, but Petrov convinced his superiors not to retaliate.

Britain's Youngest Carers

Channel 4, 11pm

Film examining the stories of children who look after their parents, from 16 and 14-year-old sisters to a boy who is just six. Oritse Williams (right) has been looking after his mother since he was 12, and wants to raise awareness of the issue.
