There's a dramatic Christmas in store for Fair City as Niamh finally gets her revenge on love rat Paul

With just over a month until Christmas, RTÉ has released its TV line-up and Fair City fans have a dramatic holiday season in store.

An hour-long special on Christmas Day will see an eventful dinner in the Brennan household as Niamh plans the ultimate revenge by inviting all Paul’s ex-lovers and children.

Meanwhile, Mrs Brown’s Boys Agnes Brown isn’t feeling the festive spirit this year as she refuses to have a Christmas tree.

Bridget & Eamon will continue the laughter on RTÉ2 with a special entitled ‘The Day After Christmas'.

There are also plenty of shows for music fans as Nathan Carter hosts a special Christmas edition, with performances from KT Tunstall and comedian Al Porter to look forward to.

Sports fans will get to reminisce over Euro 2016 as show ‘Two Shades of Green’ looks back on the summer through the eyes of the Irish and Northern Irish fans who descended upon France.

The O’Donovan brothers have also bagged themselves a slot in the Christmas schedule as ‘Pull Like a Dog’ documents their triumph at the Olympics.

There are also plenty of films lined up with Calvary, The Hobbit, Bad Neighbours and favourites Love Actually and Notting Hill, while the kids will be entertained by Frozen, The Lego Movie and Despicable Me 2.

On New Year’s Eve, as the 1916 Centenary year comes to a close, RTÉ’s Claire Byrne, Bryan Dobson and Kathryn Thomas look back on the year.

Claire Byrne hosts proceedings in Iveagh House on St. Stephen's Green while Aidan Power brings us the best from Dublin’s NYF Festival including the “3 Countdown Concert” featuring Walking on Cars.

In the early New Year, Striking Out looks at the tumultuous professional and personal life of Dublin-based solicitor, Tara Rafferty, played by Amy Huberman.

The tenth series of Operation Transformation will also see five new leaders take on the challenge to lose weight and transform their lives, with Dancing with the Stars making its Irish debut.
