The soapbox: secrets & spoilers

Gob-lobbing, a towel-toting Max Branning, and a sex industry

Fair City: Dolores finds out that Wayne and Orla knew about Pete and Jackie's dalliance, so she's feeling pretty amazing. Jim mentions to Shane that it's his dad's anniversary and that a trip to the graveyard might be apt. Shane reckons it's a good idea to bring Bob along for a graveside get together. On the bright side, Shane does find out about Bob having an affair with his mother, so one can only assume Bob is his father. That's generally how these things pan out in soap land. Elsewhere, Kerri-Ann frets after trying to kiss Decco.

Emmerdale: Aaron strokes his chin ponderously when Ross informs him that Chrissie knows about Robert framing the Home Farm 'robbery'. Vanessa informs teen lover, Kirin, she's pregnant. One can only assume it's Adam's after their tryst - again. Again, that's generally how these things pan out in Soapland. Things take a grim turn on Thursday for Laurel when she starts choking on her own vomit after downing a bottle of wine in the wake of losing a cleaning job to Tracy, and it's down to April and Arthur to get help.

Coronation Street: When it comes to unnerving behaviour, Maria's past actions are well documented, but she's met her match with Jenny who promptly slaps her about the face over her son's behaviour. Bethany resembles a seasoned Lolita on her first day of school, leaving Sara horrified, but that's nothing compared to being caught rapid kissing Callum in front of Nick. Speaking of which, Erica rocks up declaring she's pregnant.

WARNING - Max will be seen wandering around his kitchen naked, in not one, but two towels. Himself and Denise Van Outen have a bit of a skirmish in his kitchen after she informs him that the police are on to the stolen cars. Next thing, he's turning to Phil for help…

Ros na Run: Caitríona tries to convince Jason to let her do a programme about the small town sex industry.
