The soapbox: return of old faces and chicken on the run

Sheena McGinley

Fair City: Despite heading off for a drink, leaving Christy dying on the floor etc, etc, Max can't commit to having a baby with Farah.

His long-suffering wife needs to start thinking of plan B, which involves getting Max to move out while he's fluttering two tickets to Paris in her face. Personally, I'm willing her to fall head over heels for Sean! As Dolores makes the decision to shave her head, she's desperate for Pete to stop treating her like an invalid, while one of Callum's biggest mares returns from a far-flung land…

Coronation Street: Just as Owen and Anna cop that Faye's been bunking off school, and spending her dinner money on cigarettes, Owen's ex-wife lands on the doorstep, which is all he needs. Wait until they all find out the tween is pregnant. Sally's beside herself when one of Sharif's chickens makes a break for it into her garden, while Steve tries to return to normal. Unfortunately, Andrea's incessant wittering gets a bit too much for him. Elsewhere, a distraught Gandy visits Michael in hospital, and - as

Dev heads off to Mumbai - Julie starts throwing her weight around.

Emmerdale: The residents try to get back to normal after the wedding goes spectacularly badly - like they did after 'Baywatch' came to the Woollie when Cameron got his comeuppance - but there are still some secrets to be revealed. Belle stops taking her pills, packs her bags, and ends up getting very close to the edge (literally), while Finn is amazed that James could forgive Emma so readily.

EastEnders: Poor Dot is NEVER going to be rid of Nick. He's now getting her to go to some dodgy flats to pick up gear for him 'cause the withdrawal is too much. The next thing you know, Nick will get himself properly murdered and his poor mother will be left to stand trial. True story.

Ros na Rún: Will Tadhg and Frances make up? Will Bobbi leave Ros na Rún?
