The Osbournes are set to return to reality television almost a decade after their MTV show ended.
The series focusing on rocker Ozzy Osbourne (65) and his family has been revived according to reports.
Earlier this month Sharon (62) spilled the beans that she was looking into doing a new series of the show.
She revealed that she is interested in doing an eight-episode special.
“Ozzy has decided that he wants to do another few episodes, not a whole season, about eight episodes, of The Osbournes,' Sharon told viewers on ITV’s Loose Women.
“He said that for the whole three years that we did it he was drunk the whole time. But he would like to do one where he's completely sober, as he is now,” she added.
Now it is reported that VH1 is nearing a deal to being the Emmy-award winning series back.
The family set a new standard for reality shows during their three-year run on MTV.
Although Ozzy Osbourne was already famous as the frontman of Black Sabbath, the series showed a different side to the rocker and made stars out of his wife, daughter Kelly (30) and son Jack (28).
Their eldest daughter Aimee opted not to appear on the show.
The family have became household names since the show ended in 2005.
Sharon went on to be a judge on The X Factor and is currently co-host on US chat show, The Talk.
Meanwhile Kelly has become a successful TV personality and co-hosts Fashion Police, while Jack is now married and has a two-year-old daughter, Pearl.
TV personality Sharon Osbourne has opened up about the scars on her wrist, revealing that she had physically hurt herself to ‘prove her love’ to her husband Ozzy Ozbourne at the beginning of their relationship.
