In the last part of his journey, Kevin meets people who are redefining the family unit. He hangs out with an anti-fascist San Francisco motorcycle gang whose motto is 'who needs a father when you've got a brother', and travels to Florida to visit the 'Sausage Castle', which is home to a band of heavily armed misfits.
