Talk about sibling rivalry reaching new heights. There is drama abound in Fair City tonight as Max and Heather give in to their desires.

Heather, played by Una Kavanagh, has been doing nothing but meddling since returning from Brazil with her daughter Eleanor and mum Renee.

Now she's set to commit the ultimate betrayal by making a move on her half-sister Farrah's husband.

Max (Rory Nolan) declares he is returning to Australia in a week, and after blazing rows he and Farrah - played by Caroline Harvey - decide to end their marriage.

Heather seizes the opportunity and convinces Max to celebrate his birthday despite the split.

She tells him he's better off without her and they kiss and things become passionate.

When Renee finds the office door locked, Heather covers up, saying she locked the door so Max didn't have to be upset in front of staff.

Later, Farrah announces she doesn't want Max to leave and he admits he never wanted to leave her.

They decide to give it another go and announce they're moving to Australia.

However, Heather implies to Max she does not intend to stop what they have started.

Una Kavanagh said she's relishing playing the conniving Heather once again.

"The coming weeks are going to be great when viewers will see just how far Heather is willing to go to get everyone's attention," she said.

"I think viewers are going to be equally shocked and enthralled by what's coming."
