Producers are on the hunt in Ireland for talented singers who have 'The X Factor'.

Auditions for the show, which catapulted Niall Horan onto the world stage with One Direction, are being held in St Stephen's Green Shopping Centre today from 9am to 6pm and tomorrow from 11am to 5pm.

Kasey Doyle, right, from Ballyfermot was among those hoping to be a stand-out success at the auditions yesterday.

There will also be auditions in Cork at the Ambassador Hotel, Military Hill, St Luke's, on Tuesday from 2pm-7pm.

The show, which also kick-started the careers of singers Mary Byrne and Jedward, will return for series 16 later this year.

The judges have not yet been confirmed.

Last year's panel was made up of Robbie Williams, his wife Ayda Field, One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson and Simon Cowell.
