Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and Late Late Show host Ryan Tubridy is on a mission to find the most loved-up couple on the island.

The presenter launched the sickeningly sweet search to find the Irish couple who are most in love in order to bestow on them the greatest prize of all... to appear on the Late Late Show before they embark on romantic weekend away.

Speaking of the search Ryan said: “We’re asking people to nominate the couples they feel perfectly embody what love means. Maybe they have a funny story about how they met or they’ve inspired everyone around them with their long and happy marriage.”

The presenter suggested that winning the competition may provide parents with a rare opportunity to leave the kids behind in favour of a luxurious trip away.

“Perhaps, they’re devoted to their children and need a break or they’ve faced down great adversity hand-in-hand and made it through to the other side stronger than ever.  Whatever it is, we want to hear it,” said Ryan.

Interested couples can nominate themselves by sharing a photograph and their story on the RTE One Facebook Page or tweeting using the hashtag #LateLateLove.

Meanwhile, singletons have not been left out when it comes to the Valentine’s celebrations on The Late Late Show as the audience will be made up of 200 single men and women on next Friday’s show.
