RYAN Tubridy is used to doing the questioning on the Late Late Show – however 30 school children got their chance to turn the tables on the RTE presenter today.

The Savvy schoolchildren from from St Laurence's, Crookstown in Co Kildare visited the Independent.ie studio to chat with the host.

All the children had questions ready for Tubridy – ranging from what his favourite animal was to how many Christmas jumpers he has.

He said Joanne O’Riordan was one of his favourite guests so far during his tenure on the Late Late.

“Joanne O’Riordan is a guest I love on the Late Late Show. She has no arms or legs, is in a wheelchair – she has this heart and soul that burst form every pore of hier body.

“She’s full full excitement and joy and devilment and her eyes dance when you talk to her.

“Her eyes dance when you talk to her. I love people like that who have lots to say but aren’t whingy or whiny or moany.

“Most of my favourite guests are the Irish ones, because they’re fun. The ones I like are the ones who have a wicked sense of humour, are fun, a bit silly, and have a brilliant mind."
