Devout fans of the Great British Bake Off are outraged that Paul Jagger's impressive creation didn't land him the Star Baker award.

Was Paul's 'Cecil the Lion' bread not winning Star Baker the Great British Bake Off's biggest injustice?

While the amateur baker was praised by judges including Paul Hollywood, his 'King of the Jungle' bread sculpture, he failed to win the coveted Star Baker award on this week's episode.

Hollywood told Jagger, "That is one of the best things I've seen in bread ever. It's exceptional".

While Ian was awarded Star Baker for the second week in a row thanks to his floral inspired bread, Jagger managed to win a Bake Off first - a highly commended mention for his baked creation.

Twitter users were unanimous in their beliefs that Jagger should have been victorious this week.

Dorret Conway was the third contestant to leave the show, as her bread version of Tracey Emin's Unmade Bed failed to impress the judges.
