Mrs Brown’s Boys’ Brendan O’Carroll won’t be following Daniel O’Donnell onto the Strictly stage
The star of internationally recognised Mrs. Brown’s Boys has revealed that he will not be venturing into reality TV or follow his wife Jennifer onto the Strictly Come Dancing stage.
According to The Sunday Mirror, the star revealed he would not agree to appear on a reality television show even if he was threatened with a “red hot needle” on his private parts.
Despite his disdain for reality TV, the actor congratulated crooner Daniel O’Donnell on his success on the dancing show.
“I think Daniel is doing absolutely magnificent because it takes balls and it takes effort and he has both,” said Brendan.
The Irish writer and actor revealed that a second instalment of Mrs. Brown’s Boys The Movie could be on the cards, but he is content creating the Christmas specials each holiday season.
“I’m happy to do as we’re doing now, making the Christmas specials every year, have that Morecambe and Wise slot on Christmas Day and everyone anticipating the new Mrs Brown ‘what’s it going to be like, the next one?’ We’re talking of a second movie so that’s plenty to be going on with,” he said.
Meanwhile Daniel O'Donnell's Strictly Come Dancing partner laughed off suggestions that she called Daniel an "old man".
Kristina Rihanoff rubbished the claims made in The Sun and said they were "horrible and rude".
"Everyone knows how much we enjoy working together," Kristina tweeted.
The pair last night dressed up in cabin crew uniforms and performed a foxtrot to the Frank Sinatra Classic 'Fly Me To The Moon'. They were awarded 23 points out of a possible 40.
"You were flying premium economy. It was adequate but you need to go for the wow factor now," judge Bruno Tonioli told the partners.
