Lou Ferrigno, Charisma Carpenter and Holly Marie Combs land in Dublin for bigger and better Comic Con
The Incredible Hulk is in town. Don't make him angry. You wouldn't like him when he’s angry!
Fans of The Hulk, Game Of Thrones, Buffy The Vampire Slayer and numerous other shows and comics are in for a treat with the arrival in Dublin of some of their stars as Comic Con roles into town.
Actor Lou Ferrigno, who played the original Hulk in the iconic hit American TV series in the late ‘70s and early ‘80s will be a big draw among the more mature cult comic fans attending the event at the Convention Centre.
It is now 42 years since made the big green angry giant famous all over the world, and at the convention preview he said he never thought back then that he could be traveling the world representing his character decades later.
“We were hoping we could get a series out of it. I never dreamed it would become so popular,” he told Independent.ie.
Buffy fans will get to meet yet another beloved character, Charisma Carpenter who played Cordelia Chase in the hit series.
It’s her first time in Ireland and she is following in the footsteps of James Marsters from the same show who was a big hit at the last Comic Con.
Game of Thrones may have ended, and with many divided opinions as to the conclusion of the hit HBO show, fans may take up the opportunity to ask any burning questions to the Night King himself Richard Brake, who played the foreboding spectre in the fourth and fifth season of Game of Thrones.
Other guests include Holly Marie Combs from the hit show Charmed, and fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be able to meet Actress Pom Klemtieff, who recently starred as Mantis in Avengers Endgame.
Dublin Comic Con runs on Saturday and Sunday with an emphasis on fun and colour.
Every year sees many arrive in full costume to emulate their favourite characters from comics, games and movies, and this convention promises to be no different.
The event also offers fans the chance to meet actors and voice-over stars.
Visitors can attend discussions panels, Q&As and use Cosplay backgrounds as backdrops for photographs, and there will be plenty of trade stalls.
Dublin Comic Con returns to the Convention Centre in Dublin this weekend August 10th and 11th for it’s 2019 Summer Edition.
