Karlie Kloss tactfully dodges question about Taylor Swift in tv interview
Karlie Kloss: supermodel, Project Runway host, tech entrepreneur and expert Taylor Swift question dodger.
For five years, Kloss and Swift's friendship was documented in just about every publication you can think of and their close bond was even documented on an American Vogue cover, but the two have been notably distancing themselves from one another in recent years.
Karlie, a former Victoria's Secret Angel, was at the top of Swift's squad pyramid until 2017, when fans noticed they weren't as close. Last October, when Karlie married long-time boyfriend Joshua Kushner, Taylor was nowhere to be seen.
In Taylor's recent essay for Elle magazine, she reflected on her 'squad' era which she documented relentlessly on her Bad Blood tour and Instagram, introducing a revolving door of beautiful women she called her closest friends. She was criticised for her interpretation of female friendship and has reflected on that time with a new outlook and says it was representative of her childhood insecurities lacking any real friends.
While appearing on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, she was asked about her thoughts on the essay and responded: "Taylor is incredible, and I feel really lucky to call her a friend. She's one of the hardest-working women and I loved her essay."
