The mother of the bride in last night’s episode of Don’t Tell The Bride was not happy.

Debbie's daughter was getting married after only five months of dating.

And when groom Cole decided to have a cowboys and Indians themed wedding to her daughter Holly, things started to go pear shaped.

“It has all happened so quick, never did I ever think you and Cole would get together. I don’t know him that well really and don’t know how he can cope with things,” she told Holly.

Things went from bad to worse when Cole bought a short wedding dress for Holly, who was hoping for a full-length gown. The tears soon started.

Holly couldn't hide her dislike for the dress.

‘I don’t like how short it is. I feel more like a fairy than a bride. I hate my legs hanging out.

“I never thought I would wear a short dress on my wedding day, it is not what I would pick.’

And Debbie, ever the supportive mother, agreed.

She said: ‘I am not saying this to upset you. It is a shock. I didn’t imagine this. I just thought it would be long.”

Alas, there was no hope of saving the dress with alterations, because the groom had spent all of the cash on cowboy hats.

"She cried when she saw the dress and now she has to have to wear it big if he can’t come up with the money, it is horrible," she said.

Viewers last night were struck by how much the mother-of-the bride was invested in her daughter's big day.

"The mother is about thirty seconds away from referring to this as "my wedding", said one viewer.

Take a look at what the viewers said.
