'I might be lucky this year' - Francis Brennan to visit Lisdoonvarna Matchmaking Festival
Francis Brennan he "might be lucky" when he attends the annual Lisdoonvarna Matchmaking Festival in September.
The hotelier (62) has previously said he is content being single but said he will be attending the renowned festival of love in Co Clare in early autumn.
Speaking to The Irish Daily Mirror, Francis said: "I'm probably happier that half of Ireland so I'm very lucky in that respect. You do dedicate yourself to the business in some degree - like a priest with the vocation - which is what I did, and I don't regret it one bit. I'm as happy as Larry. I'm in Lisdoonvarna in September so I might be lucky this year."
In the past, the At Your Service star revealed that he never lusted after another person, and was not interested in sex.
"I've never lusted after anyone. I suppose I'm what you would call asexual. I'm always too tired anyway. So forget that. (Sex) doesn't interest me at all," Francis told the Sunday Independent in 2015.
"Well, everyone is always probing this point. When you're 61 and unmarried there are assumptions made. People think I'm gay but, just so you know, I'm not. I would have had (men) coming on, not in my youth, but as an adult. Nothing too heavy. A wink and a nod."
The presenter is currently filming a new series of RTE's At Your Service, which is taking him around the country to try and improve hospitality businesses.
