Hucklebuck returns to Late Late Show as Crystal Swing's Derek Burke surprises audience during Eurovision special
Can Derek Burke go anywhere without performing the Hucklebuck?
The Crystal swing star couldn't help but bust out his signature move during the Late Late Show's Eurovision special, getting a little bit carried away during a group sing-song. Clearly overwhelmed with emotion during a rendition of Buck Fizz's Making Your Mind Up, the 26-year-old star climbed up into the audience and belted out the lyrics of the famous Eurovision tune.
Burke took to the Late Late Show to play Eurovision Sing Song with presenter Marty Whelan, Mairead Ronan, country star Cliona Hagan, and Moone Boy's Ronan Johnston, with Tubridy happily spinning the game-show wheel.
The group belted out a number of Eurovision hits, including Abba's Waterloo, which surprisingly seemed to be Tubridy's favourite of the night as he enthusiastically danced with Cliona Hagan.
The Late Late Show special also featured Eurovision legend Johnny Logan, who performed a medley of his best hits on the programme.
The Hold Me Now singer said he wouldn't dream of returning to the Eurovision stage, although he is often asked.
"My white suit is in the Abba museum in Sweden. I have a black leather jacket on now. I'm the bad guy now.
"I would do anything for Ireland still but I will not. Being Irish is something I am so proud of I really am. I'm not closing the door to getting involved in it. Maybe I might stand in the background and help the writers. Let just see," he said.
