Sasha was first to go through after a stellar performance of Say You Love Me by Jessie Ware followed by Emmanuel with Procol Harum's A Whiter Shade of Pale.

Lucy then wowed for team Will and he was so impressed he praised her efforts in Italian.  Scottish firefighter Stevie McCrorie followed suit.

However, it was the end of the road for Team Rita.  Welsh single mum Karis Thomas, who had garnered consistent praise from her very first audition, was voted off, much to everyone's surprise.

This was despite a phenomenal performance of Say Something by A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera, which saw fans taking to Twitter to marvel at her talent.

Joe Woolford, who also impressed with his take on Jealous by Labrinth, was the other surprise cut and his departure leaves Rita with no act in the final.

The adorable Vikesh Champaneri and Sheena McHugh also sang their last on the show last night.

Meanwhile, Aussie singer/songwriter Sia popped in to perform her latest single 'Elastic Heart'.  Despite her unbelievable voice, it was her trademark wig that garnered most attention.

The artist chooses to obscure her face because she's not interested in fame and being recognised, but viewers took to Twitter to compare her wig to the dog from the Magic Roundabout, and various kitchen mops.
