If you want to get to know someone, ask them to show you their personal belongings.

That’s exactly what presenter Angela Scanlon is doing for her upcoming documentary series on RTE2.

The flame-haired presenter is travelling the globe to meet some popular celebs and get to know them by rooting through their stuff.

Over the weekend she got stuck into the vintage wonders in Dawn O’Porter’s wardrobe.

The presenter and designer is based in New York with her Irish husband Chris O’Dowd and their son Art. Angela shared a snap of the pair in a vintage shop, before she opened up her stash of clothes.

The RTE presenter then jetted off to San Jose to meet Irish WWE wrestler Sheamus, real name Stephen Farrelly.

“Goodbye NYC! Thank you Dawn O’Porter for showing me around, being the best rowing partner I’ve had, introducing me to steak nachos & ‘the fountain of friendship’ and dressing me as a ’90s hooker. It was the best,” she captioned the snap.

The 31-year-old recently said she would be delving into “the world of celebrity” for the new show.

Angela previously fronted Oi Ginger! on RTE2 and was the digital presenter on The Voice UK.

“We’ve secured some really good names,” she told the Herald recently.

“There’s going to be some people that I love personally and I think viewers are going to love getting a bit of insight into them.

“It’ll be me rooting through the bins and knicker drawers of the rich and famous,” she added.

Angela said the show was like nothing she’s ever done before  and she’ll have to work hard at keeping her composure in front of some well-known faces.

“With social media there is a sense that you know these people already, so sometimes you can feel a little over-familiar with them,” she said.

“You kind of feel like you know them because you’ve seen pictures of their bathroom that they’ve posted.

“I’m going to try to be cool, but knowing me that probably won’t happen,” she said with a laugh.

The Meath native has also wrapped filming on the new season of Getaways with Joe Lindsay, which is set air early next year. The well-travelled pair visited France, Austria, Florida, Greece and Italy over the past few months.

“We visited Disney World so I’m basically living the dream and returning to childhood – it’s ideal,” Angela said.
