Actress Melissa McCarthy wins Trump satire with incredible Sean Spicer performance Newsdesk Newsdesk

Saturday Night Live surprise appearance saw comic actress Melissa McCarthy impersonate the White House press secretary

Alec Baldwin brought his impression of Donald Trump back to TV screens last night but actress Melissa McCarthy stole the show.

McCarthy gave a hilarious performance as the White House press secretary to a pretend room of news journalists which included actress Kristen Stewart.

In a hilarious take on the Government Press Secretary, McCarty launches into a tirade on the assembled press corp. "Before we begin, I know that myself and the press have gotten off to a rocky start," McCarthy began, "when I say 'rocky start' I mean it in the sense of Rocky the movie because I came out here to punch you in the face, and also I don't talk so good.

"I would like to begin today by apologizing on behalf of you to me," she continued, "for how you have treated me these last two weeks and that apology is not accepted 'cause I'm not here to be your buddy. I'm here to swallow gum and I'm here to take names."

Discussing Trump's announcement for his supreme court nominee "Spicer" said: "Everyone was smiling, everyone was happy, the men all had erections, and every single one of the women was ovulating left and right".

Elsewhere, actress Kristen Stewart performed a monologue which dealt with President Trump's Twitter infatuation with her love her life.

'I'm a little nervous to be hosting because I know the president is probably watching and I don't think he likes me that much. Here's how I know.'

She then recalled a string of tweets in which Trump said her ex Robert Pattinson could "do better".

'Robert Pattinson should not take back Kristen Stewart. She cheated on him like a dog and will do it again--just watch. He can do much better!'
