TEN years ago, blonde bombshell Rosanna Davison did the country proud and was crowned Miss World.

She nabbed the sash and tiara at the final in South China Beach Resort Sanya on the tropical island of Hainan in 2003.

"I just can't believe how fast that decade went, it's scary," the 29-year-old told the Herald.

Rosanna is planning a low-key affair to commemorate the occasion.

"I'll just have a quiet dinner and a glass of bubbly with some family, close friends and Wes," she said.

The past 10 years have certainly been eventful for the model -- she has travelled the world, met Wes, got engaged, posed for Playboy, was accused of cheating in the Flora mini-marathon, became a vegan and qualified as a nutritionist.

After she took home the Miss World crown, Rosanna jet-setted around the world, met presidents and was the star attraction in Dublin's St Patrick's Day parade. The aspiring actress also got to strut her stuff on the catwalk at London Fashion Week.

Rosanna split from her college boyfriend James Montgomery in 2006.

Later that year, she and Wes made their first public appearance at Mr Ireland in the Mansion House.

At the time, the pair claimed to be "just friends", but they made things official when they attended a Ken and Barbie-themed birthday party later that year.

In March 2009, Rosanna and Wes decided to spend some time apart. "Sometimes when we go out it can feel like you're in a fish bowl where everything you do is picked up," Rosanna said at the time.

"We decided it was probably best to take some space and think about things."

The pair got back together five months later.

Rosanna has appeared in several TV shows over the past decade. In 2007 she impressed with her fancy footwork in Jigs and Reels, and has also been in RTE's Anonymous, TV3's Celebrity Salon and Celebrity Come Dine With Me.

Rosanna and Wes like to party. The pair showed up in knuckledusters and Burberry clobber when they attended a themed 'Chav Party' in 2010.

The following year, Rosanna was awarded ¿80,000 in damages after a court ruled Ryanair had defamed her name.

Last year, Rosanna was accused of cheating in the Flora Women's mini marathon. The allegations surfaced online with suggestions that she had started the race in Leeson Street.

"Anyone suggesting that I tried to pull a fast one is talking nonsense," she said.

Rosanna is known for her chic sense of style, and at the 2013 VIP Style Awards she picked up the award for Look of The Year -- her Dawn Fitzgerald gown had impressed the judges.

This year was a big year for Rosanna. For starters, Wes popped the question while they were on holiday in Mauritius. The couple will tie the knot next summer.

Rosanna posed in the nip for the German edition of Playboy.

Publisher Hugh Hefner was so impressed with her photos that he invited her to the Playboy Mansion. While she was a big fan of the gardens, Rosanna stayed well away from The Grotto.

She also became a qualified nutritionist and nabbed a part in upcoming cage fighting gangster film Ringsend.

An eventful decade indeed.
