Things got very awkward between Roz Purcell and Eoghan McDermott live on air.

On Tuesday, Roz joined the 2fm DJ in studio to discuss her role in Lidl Ireland's Taste for Success.

But the line of questioning soon turned personal as Eoghan brought up her ex, The Blizzards frontman Niall Breslin, who is one of his good friends.

After playing The Blizzard's song Perfect on Paper, he asked the 26-year-old model and nutritionist, if she thought she was "perfect on paper" - a reference to the track where one of the lyrics is "She's perfect on paper, dear God why do I hate her?"

To which Roz replied, "Are you serious?"

Eoghan continued with his "inappropriate questions" before Roz threatened to walk off air.

"If you ask me one more question I am actually leaving," she said before he issued a hasty apology.

But he couldn't resist getting another sting in by asking Roz how her new boyfriend, Zach Desmond, is doing.

“Your new boyfriend Zach, how is he?”

An unimpressed Roz walked off air while Eoghan shouted after her: "Did you dump Bressie because he's unemployed?"

Apparently the interview was just a set-up and the pair continued with a normal interview as soon as Roz returned to the studio.
