VIDEO: Brendan O’Carroll and Joe Duffy light up Grafton Street for Christmas Eve
Mrs Brown’s Boys star Brendan O’Carroll joined in the festivities on Joe Duffy’s Liveline, which was broadcast live from Grafton Street this afternoon.
The friends gathered for Joe’s annual Christmas show which also featured Irish bands The Riptide Movement and The Delorentos.
O’Carroll has experienced one of his most successful years yet, with the summer opening of Mrs Brown’s Boys D’Movie which was received well at the box office.
The comedian reckoned Dublin has changed a lot in the last number of years in positive ways.
“Dublin has changed an awful lot over the last couple of years and you can see it this morning,” he told Independent.ie.
“This is my fifteenth year to do this live from Grafton Street. I’ve been through the recession and there’s a pep in the step of Dublin right now.”
The performer was joined by his wife Jennifer Gibney who featured in ITV’s Strictly Come Dancing earlier this year.
Laughing with his chum Joe Duffy the pair joked that they were “working for peace in the Northside.”
