Ryan Tubridy has said he expects the much anticipated Fifty Shades of Grey film will act as “porn for the Orla Kielys”.

Tubridy told his 2fm listeners this morning that the movie adaptation of “Fifty Shades of Grey” won’t be like arthouse porn for film critics.

Instead, he reckons the target audience for the film will be women who buy designer Orla Kiely’s wares.

“It’s the kind of ‘oh my God, look at that’ film,” he said.

Tubridy compared the film to the 2004 British arthouse flick ‘9 Songs’ which was directed by Michael Winterbottom, and said the two would be nothing like each other.

The upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey film looks set to be one of the raunchiest 18-rated film in more than a decade.

Cinema-goers can expect over twenty minutes of sex scenes in its 100-minute running time.

Based on EL James’ bestselling erotic novels, Fifty Shades follows the relationship between playboy billionaire Christian Grey (played by Jamie Dornan) and his infatuated student submissive, Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson).

Fifty Shades of Grey hits Irish cinemas on 13 February.
