Ray Foley leaves Dublin radio station 98FM to 'focus on TV work'
Ray Foley will present his last show with 98FM tomorrow after announcing his departure from the radio station.
The star revealed he was moving on from the Dublin radio station and will concentrate on his TV work and other plans in the New Year.
Speaking ahead of his departure, Ray said that the station has been a big part of his life for the past three years.
“I’ve been lucky to work with a really fantastic team each morning, and I would like to thank them for everything. With the end of the year just around the corner, the time feels right to make a change and I’m looking forward to new challenges and focusing on other things in 2016,” he said.
The station’s chief executive Keith McCormack has thanked Ray for his hard work and dedication during his time there.
Meanwhile, the station said that it will be launching a new show – ‘98FM’s Big Breakfast’ in January.
It said that it will be announcing full details of that in the New Year.
Originally from Ballina, Co Mayo, the presenter has become one of the city’s best known voices.
