Ray D'Arcy has offered his wife Jenny's help to Operation Transformation leader Noeleen Lynam in finding a man.

Noeleen (51), from Raharney, Co Westmeath is a primary teacher and spoke to Ray on his Radio 1 show about her progress so far and perhaps meeting someone special.

“My stance on it is I certainly don’t want to come across as “oh my God, I hate men, I don’t want them” and neither do I want “whiff of desperation”. I am nicely in the middle. Yes, I would love to meet someone who will enhance my life and add to it and we will have a great time but if that doesn’t happen, I will still have a great time. I do like my own company and if I met the right person I would enjoy their company too,” she said.

"Yes, I'd love to meet someone who would enhance my life and add to it and we'd have a great time but if that doesn't happen I will still have a great time."

Ray asked Noeleen if she would be happy to avail of the services of 'Cupid Kelly'.

“Over the years we have done a lot of blind dates on the show,” he tells her, “And we call Jenny, my wife, Cupid Kelly because she has been very successful. In fact, we have had two or three weddings as a result of people meeting through the programme. I am putting it to you now: would you like Jenny to work her magic for you?”

Noeleen took him up on the offer. Asked what sort of man she would be after, she tells him: “One with a pulse would be good”.

"I've dated a wide variety of men in my time so I can't say I have a type," she added, and revealed that her longest relationship had lasted three years and was about 10 years ago when she lived in Abu Dhabi.

Noeleen revealed she has tried online dating but not Tinder.

She joked, “People ask me: ‘why is it so difficult to meet a man now?’ I suppose a lot of it is that all the really nice, genuine guys are either married or they already have boyfriends, at this stage, so it is difficult. My niece tried to get me on Tinder but I never knew which way to swipe so it was a waste of time. I think I was doing all the wrong things.”

Finally, Noeleen had a warning for any man she does meet in the next couple of weeks...

“If I do happen to meet a man within the next couple of weeks, the only thing I can do is go for a long romantic power walk. That’s it, no dinners!”
