New roles announced for Newstalk's Chris Donoghue and Sarah McInerney

Communicorp has new roles lined up for Newstalk Drive presenters, Chris Donoghue and Sarah McInerney.

It was announced today that Chris will take on a new role within Communicorp as Group Political Editor while Sarah will take the reins of her own weekly show on Newstalk 106-108fm.

Chris will take the reigns over the political output for Newstalk, Today FM, 98FM, Spin 1038 and Spin South West.

Sinead Spain, Communicorp's Group Head of News, said: “Chris brings a wealth of experience to the role and we are confident he is the right candidate to lead the political agenda for our stations and the Network News portfolio."

He will also head a two-hour current affairs show on Newstalk each Sunday from 11am.

Sarah's new role will see her present a newly curated current affairs and politcs shows each Saturday between 8 and 9am.

She'll also provide cover across the weekday primetime schedule including for Newstalk Breakfast.
