Lucy Kennedy has been announced as the co-host of a new breakfast show on Radio Nova.

Lucy will reunite with Colm Hayes eight years after they filled the late Gerry Ryan's slot together on RTE's 2fm.

Fresh from a stint presenting Ireland's Got Talent and gearing up for a new series of Living with Lucy on TV3, the presenter has not abandoned TV, but Lucy says she has been "plotting" a return to radio "for a while".

‘Working again with Lucy is like a dream come true or maybe it’s a recurring nightmare I’ve been having. It’s great to be going back to breakfast radio again. I am even looking forward to the early starts!” said Colm.

Hayes previously presented the Strawberry Alarm Clock on FM 104 and The Colm and Jim-Jim Breakfast Show on 2FM.  He left 2fm in 2016 following station boss Dan Healy’s schedule shake-up.

Lucy also co-hosted a weekend radio slot on 2fm with Baz Ashmawy from 7am-10am on Saturdays and Sundays for two years before the show was axed in 2012.

The Colm and Lucy Breakfast Show will broadcast Monday to Friday from 6am to 10am.  Start date is scheduled for the "end of April".
