'Ryanair Romeo' Jamie Kelly appeared on the Ray D'Arcy show with his Canadian date Katie to reveal that they kissed.

Jamie Kelly appeared on the Ray D'Arcy show yesterday with Katie to relive their first date.

They went on their first date on Wednesday in Waterford and appeared on the Ray D'Arcy Show on Thursday to relieve how it went.

They were picked up in a Chrysler thanks to TLC Limos and went surfing, for a romantic dinner and had champagne thanks to

"It started out a little awkward... I didn't know whether to shake his hand or hug him, but I went for the hug".

"We share a lot of similar interests... same sense of humour. She's a good-looking girl as well, which helps!"

Katie flew home to Canada today at 8am, but had a great time on their date.

"I ordered two extra things just because it was free!"

The couple admitted there was a "chemistry", confirming that "there was a good night kiss" when Ray pushed. "You're going very red now the two of you!" he added.

A listener text the show to ask Jamie if he was going to head to Canada to follow Katie. "What's the point in letting her go now?"

"We've no idea (what happens next)... We haven't spoken about it", to which Ray quipped; "We've a number of people who met on the show that got married. No pressure!"

"You love the awkwardness!" Jamie laughed.

Ray asked Katie what her mother thought of the whole ordeal.

"She loves it... who doesn't love (romance)?"

Jamie and Katie got on like a house on fire during the flight back from Barcelona, but he lost Katie at passport control. He waited at the baggage carousel until all the bags were gone in an effort to find her again but had no luck. Katie left, thinking "I might have scared him off".

He contacted Ray D'Arcy and appeared on the Canadian News Channel CBC via Skype searching for Katie. Katie's sister saw the piece and tweeted Ray - and the rest is history.

"When this good looking man sat down, I was very excited".

The couple have promised to "keep in touch" if anything comes of the fledgling relationship.
