Former 2FM presenter Ruth Scott says she has not heard her replacement Stephen Byrne's show
Former 2FM presenter Ruth Scott has revealed she has not listened to her replacement on the RTE station since her sudden departure last year.
Irish vlogger Stephen Byrne (27) last year took over from Ruth, who had helmed the slot, often with Paddy McKenna, for the previous decade.
Speaking to RSVP magazine, Ruth revealed she has not listened to his show.
Since she left 2FM, Ruth has bagged a slot on TV as a movie, TV, and play reviewer on Today with Maura and Daithi.
She is set to marry Rob Morgan, son of the late Father Ted star Dermot Morgan, later this year, and in a joint interview with the magazine, they expressed their relief that Ruth now has her weekends free for 'long leisurely lunches' and 'hillwalking'.
"I have missed out on my weekends for the last ten years and now I can agree to make plans with people," said Ruth.
"It is a great freedom and although it was the best of both worlds while working short hours at the weekend, I was still limited."
Rob added, "Ruth was expected to be at their [2FM's] beck and call the whole time, whether it was travelling in the roadcaster or doing interviews.
"She could have been working in Athlone one Saturday before being sent to the wilds of Kerry the very next day. it was horrible for us and we could never make plans."
