Baby Florence doesn't even wake up when I leave to go to work, says RTE's Jen Maguire

She's rushed off her feet juggling motherhood and work, but Jennifer Maguire believes her breakfast radio is perfect for her.

The Breakfast Republic presenter has just returned to the airwaves after taking 10 weeks maternity leave to care for her newborn daughter, Florence.

Jen told the Herald that she doesn't want a later slot because her RTE morning show suits her new life as a mother.

"I'm happy where I am," she said.

"Florence has slotted into my lifestyle quite nicely.

We caught up with Nicky Byrne, Louis Walsh, Jennifer Maguire and Nadia Forde as they have a gander around Dublin's newest H&M.

"I'm not up during the night because she sleeps right through until morning so when I get up to head off to work himself [husband Lau] and herself are snoring away. She barely misses me," she added.

The broadcaster said she's fortunate to be able to juggle her work and personal life so easily compared to other mothers.

"It actually really suits me and I feel very lucky because there's a lot of mums out there that have to get up, commute and work eight hours, which is tough," she said.

Jen (above) was speaking at the RaboDirect Tour De Picnic, an annual fundraising cycle to Electric Picnic in aid of ISPCC, Special Olympics Ireland and the Irish Youth Foundation.
