Pope Francis surprised by young fan on stage
Pope Francis was surprised during a speech when a young fan ran on stage and refused to leave, despite several bishops attempting to get him to leave the stage.
The 'boy in yellow', as he is being referred to online, ran up on stage while the Pope was giving a speech in Lampedusa.
The boy got in between dignitaries and the pope before dragging a young girl over to introduce her to the Pope himself.
The Pontifex was very good-natured about the situation as the child hugged him while he was speaking. He then sat the child in his chair to continue with his speech.
