On a budget

The four-course set dinner at €42 that includes a half bottle of wine is a perfect budget choice. It's a taste of proper, earthy, genuine granny's food.

On a blowout

Eating from the à la carte puts up the cost a little, but not hugely. Expect to pay around €50 a head excluding wine for three courses.

THE HIGH POINT

I thought the rabbit dish was very well executed. I'd go back just to eat that.

THE LOW POINT

The desserts weren't quite up to the same standard as the other courses.
