Taylor Swift has got one over on ex-boyfriend Harry Styles by clocking up two new entries in the Guinness World Records book - while his band One Direction achieved only one.

US star Taylor and Harry dated briefly before splitting in January and she has made barbed suggestions that her hit I Knew You Were Trouble was "inspired" by him, most recently at the MTV Video Music Awards last month.

Now she has seen her musical feats outweigh his group's efforts in terms of inclusions in the 2014 records book.

Taylor's entries are for fastest selling digital single (We Are Never Getting Back Together) and first solo female with two million-selling weeks on the US album chart.

One Direction's new inclusion is for highest debut by a UK group on the US singles chart, with Live While We're Young charting at number three last year.

The book also sees achievements by DJ/producer Calvin Harris, South Korean pop star Psy and TV series Doctor Who recognised.

Calvin is added to the book for achieving the most top 10 UK hits from one album, with nine taken from his 18 Months release. He superseded Michael Jackson who twice had seven top 10 tracks from one album.

Psy is included for the most online views for a video in 24 hours with Gentleman - the follow up to Gangnam Style - seen 38,409,306 times on YouTube in a day.

Emeli Sande is recognised for the most consecutive UK top 10 weeks for a debut album with Our Version Of Events notching up 63 earlier this year, surpassing Please Please Me by The Beatles.

Doctor Who, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, is recognised as the longest running science fiction TV series. By May of this year there had been 798 episodes.
