THE Winner of this year’s ‘Voice of Ireland’, Keith Hanley, has failed to chart in the top 30 with his winner’s single.

Hanley’s winner’s single, Beggin’, only managed to chart at number 37.

The show secured massive ratings for RTE during its run, however this has failed to translate into chart success.

Last year’s winner Pat Byrne managed to peak at number three in the official singles chart.

Hanley’s chart result will come as a major disappointment to producers, as the standard of talent this year was thought to be far higher than last year.

The other four finalists also had their singles released for download as well.

Despite finishing fourth, Shannon Murphy was just three places behind Hanley in the chart at number 40 with ‘Ho Hey’.

Kelly Mongan meanwhile charted at number 67 – however Donegal’s Shane McLaughlin failed to reach the top 100 despite coming third.

It was revealed last month that Pat Byrne’s debut album had sold just 3,700 copies since it was released.
