Video: Jedward double click with rival Eurovision twins
DESPITE being billed as bitter rivals, there was little sign of double trouble yesterday when two sets of twins collided.
John and Edward Grimes met fellow Eurovision entrants Daniela and Veronika Nizlova, from Slovakia, ahead of tomorrow night's second semi-finals.
The two sets of twins will battle it out against each other -- and 17 other entries -- as they attempt to win a spot in Saturday's final.
The girls will perform 13th while Jedward will be on last at Dusseldorf's Esprit Arena tomorrow night. But there was no tension when the identical sisters, who celebrate their 25th birthday this weekend, called on the Lucan brothers at their hotel yesterday.
"We hung out for a while. Being twins we had so much in common," Edward Grimes told the Irish Independent.
But while the boys may have youth on their side, the girls have the experience.
The Nizlovas have form in Eurovision, having previously performed as backing singers for the Czech Republic at the 2008 contest. Both groups will face stiff competition from Israel with transsexual singer Dana International, who won the competition in 1998, who is also vying for a spot in the top 10 tomorrow night.
Meanwhile, bookmakers have cut Jedward's odds of winning the competition to just 9/1.
