The winning bidder for Pharrell's infamous hat is revealed
The highest bidder for Pharrell’s now-infamous hat has been revealed as American fast food restaurant Arby’s.
The restaurant, whose logo is similar to the brown fedora, paid a whopping $44,100 (€32,000) for the hat.
The oversized hat, designed by Vivienne Westwood, first hit headlines when Pharrell wore it this year’s Grammy Awards in January.
Following the awards, the singer and producer announced he would be auctioning the hat off online for charity.
The earnings will support his charity ‘From One Hand To Another’.
Pharrell tweeted his thanks to the buyer on Sunday, to which the restaurant replied; “You’re welcome. We’re HAPPY to support a great cause and get our hat back.”
Pharrell wore a similar hat when he performed his hit ‘Happy’ at the Oscars on Sunday.
The song was nominated for Best Original Song but was beaten by Frozen’s ‘Let It Go’.
